Dr. Laura Sue is a general endocrinologist who practices in the Downtown Los Angeles office. She sees patients with all types of endocrine disorders and has a clinical interest in diabetes, obesity, and thyroid conditions. She is board certified in endocrinology, obesity medicine, and internal medicine.

Dr. Sue received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente - Los Angeles Medical Center and her endocrinology fellowship at UCLA. Prior to her medical training, she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her Master of Public Health degree from the Yale School of Public Health.

Dr. Sue looks forward to developing long-term relationships with her patients.

My doctor treats me with compassion, which is my #1 issue right now. I don’t feel talked down to or like I’m wasting her time. I’ve been through a lot health wise in the last few years. A lot of it has been really unpleasant, so caring and compassion mean a lot to me now.

Dr. Sue has been my endocrinologist for a few years. Despite having many patients she js always familiar with my health test results and health history, asks probing questions about any symptoms or other health overall issues. She discusses test results, their implications, and any health treatment options with me before we decide on any treatment or medication. She has also been very responsive when I’ve asked her for a referral to another specialist, messaged her about a question, or requested help with a medication refill. She is thorough, thoughtful, patient, compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced. In other words, she has all the traits of a great doctor.

Dr, Sue is an excellent clinician, extremely professional, and knowledgeable. She?s also empathetic, patient, and compassionate. She cares about patients. Her entire team is uber responsive, efficient, and so friendly. UCLA also has amazing online platforms and communication.
